I just love the SFYTT monthly sketches, especially because they are monthly. Somehow I manage to keep up with monthly challenges! LOL
The image is pre-colored from The Paper Shelter. Of course, I found the perfect sentiment to go with it from Paulette at Create with TLC. If you don't follow Paulette's blog, you should - she posts a freebie EVERY day! This card will go to Operation Write Home. I think it is perfect for one of our deployed heroes to send home to their child(ren) - maybe even announcing when they are coming home. :-)

Happy Birthday, Mom!
My mom lives on the East Coast and I live in Texas, but yesterday was her birthday (had to wait to post so the surprise wouldn't be ruined) and we are together - what a blessing! My daughter and I are on vacation visiting my mom and step-dad at their beach house in Virginia, so I had to make a birthday present that was easy to pack in a suitcase. Here is the set of cards I made for her that I know she will love - pelicans and seashells, very beachy. :-)
The patterned paper, images and sentiments are all from Doodle Pantry (Pelican Dreams and Sea Shells sets) and the sketches are all from Operation Write Home (19, 21, 112 and 116).

Doodle Pantry - Quirky Snowmen
I just love Christmas in July, especially in hot, hot Texas! Thinking of a cooler time of year sometimes helps to feel cooler, doesn't it? And being in Texas, I have a special Western snowman to share with you today...surprise, surprise!
I used the Western snowman from Doodle Pantry's Quirky Snowmen set to create this winter card with a country feel. There is so much you can do with this set - besides the snowcowpoke, the set includes a snowlady and a snowtimer (old timer snowman). Each snow person coordinates with another digi paper set from Doodle Pantry which exponentially increases the number of great cards you could make!
Don't forget, you still have FOUR DAYS to enter this month's Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge! There are two chances to win this month - one challenge is to use the Tiny Triceratops set that was free until July 15 and the other challenge is to use ANY Doodle Pantry image (there are freebies in the store). Good luck!
Card Supplies:
image, sentiment and patterned paper - Doodle Pantry
coloring medium - Copics
banner die - Spellbinders
blue ink - Stampin' Up
embossing folder - Cuttlebug snowflakes
crocheted lace - Really Reasonable Ribbon from monthly ribbon club

Doodle Pantry - Sunflower
Wow! It has been more than a full week since I posted to my blog, and I used to post every day. Sorry, folks! Summer kid activities and work are really hampering my ability to find time to craft. I hate to say this, but I may be looking forward to school starting in August just to get back to a regular schedule again. LOL
Today I have a card for you that uses the Sunflower set from Doodle Pantry - a new release for July. And, drumroll please... I colored this image myself! When my 9-year-old daughter Kaylie saw this, she thought it was a pre-colored image (that's what I usually use!). I gave her the biggest hug and thanked her for the HUGE compliment.
Don't forget about the Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge - you have until July 24 to enter. Just use any Doodle Pantry image - there are even freebies available in the store to get you started. Speaking of free Doodle Pantry images, this month (and next) Laurie is offering her free challenge set BEFORE you enter so you have two chances to win - use the free Tiny Triceratops set to enter one challenge and another image to enter the regular challenge. You better hurry though -

Stampin' Up - June Stamp Club cards
If you are looking for the OWH/OSH Bloghop, click HERE!
Oops, I totally forgot that I haven't shown you the cards we made at our June Stamp Club with SU demonstrator Christi Beck! (I know, Mom, you asked me to post them, but you should have reminded me again - I'm turning into you!) I really like both of these cards - they went into my box for OWH so hopefully they will be treasured by a military family member or friend for a very long time!
There is no Stamp Club in July, BUT Christi is having a Christmas in July event so look for those cards to post at the beginning of August! It's perfect timing for OWH - the Christmas deadline is in October.

Doodle Pantry - July new release
If you are hopping with OWH/OSH, please click HERE!
It's the beginning of July and that means new releases from Doodle Pantry. Laurie has some of the cutest winter weather images ever this month. I just love making winter/Christmas cards when the temperatures are pushing 100+ degrees here in Texas! It really does cool me off a bit.
I know it's the 4th of July here in the good ol' USA, so I used red, white and blue on my card for you traditionalists out there. :-) The pre-colored image and sentiment are from the Snowball Ants set from Doodle Pantry. Laurie has already merged 3 images together to create this adorable snowball fight scene so I merged in the sentiment as well - talk about quick and easy!
I paired the image with red cardstock from JoAnn's, SU brocade blue card stock and some very heavy white cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I started out using my Georgia-Pacific white cardstock from WalMart for the card base but quickly realized that it wasn't strong enough for this type of stand-up card (see the side view photo). Also on this card I used the Cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder, an EK border punch and Really Reasonable Ribbon from this month's ribbon club. Yolanda's card and sketch from the OWH/OSH bloghop were my inspiration for the layout (see sketch below).
DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE
HAPPENINGS AT DOODLE PANTRY:
* Select patriotic items are marked down 25% for 4th of July
* Until July 15 you receive Quirky Snowman free with purchase
* Everyone can download Tiny Triceratops for free until July 15 and can enter twice in the challenge - once with the free image and once with any other Doodle Pantry image - to double their chances to win. The challenge ends July 24!
