Hambo Hoedown Challenge

Here's my entry in the Hambo Hoedown Challenge.  Considering I was a tomboy and my daughter is a tomboy, I thought the sentiment was very appropriate!

4th Snow Day in a Row

Okay, 4 consecutive snow days in Fort Worth, TX has to be a record!  I took a little time off from cards to work on my scrapbooks and then returned to cards again today.  This little piggy is for the OWH Midweek Throwdown Challenge to create a card with a farm animal.  The image is from Elizabeth Dulemba/Coloring Page Tuesdays.  Use the badge on the right side of my blog to get to her page of free images.  He reminds me of Wilbur from Charlotte's Web, so I put a "blue ribbon" around his neck.  The other two are Father's Day cards I did to add to the OWH Spring Thaw Challenge.

Snow Days in Texas

We got snowed in on February 1 & 2 due to icy roads and sub-zero temperatures in Fort Worth, Texas!  So, I made the most of my time and made some Easter and Father's Day cards using Stampin' Up's Loads of Love stamp set.

OWH Spring Thaw Challenge

The Operation Write Home (www.operationwritehome.org) Spring Thaw Challenge deadline is February 28.  To enter the challenge, half of the cards are Spring holiday cards (Spring, Easter, Mother's Day) and half of the cards are general use cards (birthday, thanks, thinking of you, etc.).  This is the first challenge I've ever entered in my life - mainly because my cards wouldn't be judged in order to be a winner.  The winners are chosen randomly.  Whew!  No pressure there.  So, here are photos of some of the cards I made.  All of the Spring/Easter cards were made with scraps from paper I used on scrapbooking pages.  Go Green!  TFL
