Today is the last day of school for my daughter AND for me - I've been long-term substitute teaching since the middle of February! This is the second year that I volunteered to collect donations from the parents for the end-of-year teacher gifts. We give gift cards to the 4 classroom teachers as well as 14 "specials" teachers which includes library, music, art, computer, science, PE, foreign language and the guidance counselor. So, at the scrapbooking retreat earlier this month, I made 18 identical cards using Doodle Pantry's School Sheep (pre-colored image), the School Time digi paper pack, and the OWH Stars & Stamps sketch #27. It's not a fancy card, but when you have to make 18, simple is better!
DON'T FORGET - Today is the deadline for the monthly Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 23. Simply use a Doodle Pantry image and receive a free set just for playing along as well as a chance to win the challenge!
Congratulations on ending the school year on a good note. And, bless your heart for making 18 cards. Soooooo adorable. As a former high school teacher, I think I only got 3 cards in the 33 years of teaching, but I'm happy to say I got lots of hugs and many thank you's for helping get them across "that stage". Very very very sweet card.
ReplyDeleteAnother school year complete. What an accomplishment. I do remember how it felt on the last day of school on both sides as I use to be a classroom teacher and a Mom of three. I know how appreciated these teachers will feel when they see this special card you made. What a wonderful idea! Thanks for being a substitute also. That very difficult work!
ReplyDeleteI think the special teachers are going to LOVE their cards, very nice!
ReplyDeleteYay for the end of school! You need a break and some crafting time! :) This card is adorable and 18?? Wow! I totally failed to write down the Doodle Pantry challenge for this month! Arrggh. Thanks for the reminder. I'll have to see if I have it in me to do one before the end of the day. Maybe....
